About this course

  • To learn about the legislation involved with Fire Safety in the workplace.

  • To understand fire control in practice and fire prevention measures.

  • To identify the properties, maintenance and correct use of fire extinguishers.

  • To be able to safely evacuate a building, including helping those with disabilities.

  • To understand the health and safety issues associated with DSE and legislative requirements.

  • To learn, and teach other workers, how to assess, set up and make the workstation more comfortable and ergonomic.

The course uses a number of learning methods including presentation, demonstration, group discussions and practical exercises.
