Helping to put Local Heroes under the spotlight

Updated: Oct 11, 2018

We're delighted to announce that HJS Human Resources are supporting The Spire FM Local Hero Awards. The Local Hero Awards celebrates the incredible people who truly deserve our recognition and respect for making a difference and for helping others.  Those who make our community a better place to live.

There are 11 awards in total which will be presented to the winners at the awards Gala Dinner at The Stones Hotel on Friday 19th January 2019. The prestigious awards ceremony will be hosted by Spire FM's Martin Starke and Henrietta Creasey.

We are proud to sponsor the Charity Fundraiser award which recognises the heroic efforts of an individual or group in raising money and awareness for charity.

Last years winner of the Charity Fundraiser award was Alison Mosley from Amesbury who raised more than £30,000 for charities in the last few years. Read more about Alison's inspiring fundraising efforts here.

Speaking of HJS Human Resources involvement with this year's awards, Managing Director Dan Jenkins said:

“We’re delighted to be involved with the SpireFM Local Hero Awards. Having followed the progress of the awards in previous years we wanted to be part to the celebrations of the wonderful heroes in our local community. We’re proud to be sponsoring the Charity Fundraiser award and encourage everyone to get involved and nominate those special people who make a big difference in aid of others.”
